Krystol technology reacts with moisture to form insoluble needle-shaped crystals that fill capillary pores and micro-cracks in the concrete and block the pathways for water and waterborne contaminants.
Unlike other crystalline solutions that react with free lime that eventually depletes over time, Krystol T1 chemically reacts with water and un-hydrated cement particles. Any moisture introduced over the lifespan of the concrete will initiate crystallization, ensuring permanent waterproofing and watertightness protection.
Krystol T1 can be applied to new concrete or old concrete and is used on either the positive (wet) or negative (dry) side of the water pressure which allows reliable hydrostatic waterproofing protection and remediation for even the most difficult applications Any moisture introduced over the lifespan of the concrete will initiate crystallization, ensuring permanent protection By making the concrete itself the waterproof barrier, Krystol technology can reduce the need for additional materials and processes associated with external waterproofing or watertightness methods.
